Immune Balance

A Whole-Food, Gut-Focused Holistic Wellness Program for People Living with Autoimmune Conditions

A Holistic Approach to Support Immune Health

Autoimmune conditions occur when the immune system mistakenly attacks the body’s own healthy tissue. This can lead to inflammation that affects the joints, nerves, skin, muscles, digestive tract, and other organs.

Living with an autoimmune condition such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), or Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) can affect every part of daily life. IBD includes conditions like Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, which primarily involve the digestive tract.

Many people in this situation are already working closely with their doctors. Many also want to know what they can do day to day, through food, lifestyle, and nutrition, to support their overall well-being. Immune Balance is our educational wellness program designed for that purpose.

What Is Immune Balance?

Immune Balance is a nutrition and lifestyle support program. It is not a medical treatment. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and it is not a substitute for the care of your physician or specialist.

The program is built on the idea that gut health and immune function are closely connected. A large portion of the body’s immune tissue is located in and around the digestive tract, and researchers continue to study how diet, the gut microbiome, and intestinal health relate to immune regulation. Our program applies these principles in a practical, food-first way.

The Four Pillars of the Program

The Gut Reset Program

Our structured Gut Reset guides you through a period of simplified, whole-food eating. It emphasizes minimizing highly processed foods, added sugars, and common personal trigger foods, then gradually reintroducing foods while noticing how your body responds. The goal is to help you better understand your own digestive patterns and support a comfortable, well-nourished gut.

Plant-Based Nutrition

A diet rich in vegetables, fruits, legumes, whole grains, nuts, and seeds provides fiber, polyphenols, and other plant compounds. Research suggests that plant-forward eating patterns, and certain individual plant foods, may support a healthy gut microbiome, a healthy inflammatory balance, and overall well-being. Responses vary from person to person, and diet is not a substitute for medical treatment. Because tolerance also varies widely, especially for people with IBD, the program encourages individualized adjustments in consultation with your healthcare team.

Targeted Micronutrient Support

Certain nutrients, such as vitamin D, zinc, selenium, magnesium, B vitamins, and omega-3 fatty acids, play recognized roles in normal immune function. Many people with chronic conditions or restricted diets may have different nutritional needs. Our program educates participants on food sources of these nutrients and, where appropriate, discusses supplementation only in coordination with a qualified healthcare provider and ideally alongside lab testing.

Traditional Herbs and Botanicals

Herbs such as turmeric, ginger, and boswellia have a long history of traditional use in wellness practices. We share educational information about them, including their traditional use and what current research does and does not show. Herbs can interact with medications, particularly the immunosuppressants and biologics commonly used for autoimmune conditions, and some may not be appropriate for certain people. Please never start, stop, or change any herb or supplement without first speaking with your doctor or pharmacist.
